as an oriental asian, i would clearly be marked as a foreigner when visiting poland. I would be staying and walking around with a polish friend, but i dont speak or understand the language and i'm a young female. would it be unsafe to go? i wouldnt be wandering around the streets late at night, and would be in a big city... but i have heard things.. thanks for your response.

You'll be safe. The bigger cities are used to people visiting from other countries. You'll have fun! Enjoy your trip.

Just use the usual street smarts that you would use in any large city anywhere in the world.

Poland is really quite safe. You have your radicals like anywhere but I see Poland as a safe country.

Just be normal street smart. Your Polish friend knows what to do and don't do.

I find most of Polish cities much safer than for example Paris, Amsterdam, London.

Of course there are dangerous places everywhere.
