Ryanair cancelling flights to Poland at short notice

I paid 293 gbp to fly back last week from Poznań to Stansted, The service is appalling, and These aforementioned priority boarding passes just make thhing entertaining, Why would you pay extra money to get on board a filthy, Poorly airconditioned plane 5 minutes before everyone else? I usually drive back now as its much more comfortable and not any more expensive than booking flights and renting a car at the other end.

I can't see Ryanair lasting that much longer with the current oil prices and the number of pi$$ed off customers.

the Poles ALL buying priority bording passes

technically you dont need to buy one if you have a child/ren as you can queue jump with most airlines anyways (i always get to board with the pre boards without paying for the privelge) .....

we love to queue

i always make sure i am at the front haha ... =-)

Never a truer word said.

Especially when everyone else has paid for the same privilage. And to make it funnier, they all rush up the first set of stairs leaving the back set free for all the sensible people who didnt bother with the priority pass.

Same with getting off. They all jump up as soon as the plane lands, switch on their mobile phones and surge forward, leaving the back exit freed up for those sensible people sitting at the back of the plane

Youve got to laugh

If you want to know how bad this company really is, and their total lack of customer support, then check out this link.

ha ha so true... i dunno why some Poles are so impatient, it's not gonna make their journey quicker if they get on the front seat and then get off the first set of stairs as soon as the plane lands. it's not a bloody bus! lol! everytime i fly to Poland the other Poles get up as soon as the plane is on the ground, the cabin crew tells everyone to sit down so they sit down in their jackets and as soon as the crew member is gone, they are up on their feet again, chatting on the phone to their relatives wating at the airport. if they could, they'd start queing up to the exit half an hour before the landing. it's mental, i'm always like 'bydło przodem' and sit tight until we actually can leave the plane and let them push each other to the door. it's funny to watch the person sat next to me all p*ssed off and bent in half waiting till i get up, cos he's already got his coat on and wants to get out NOW.

yes its funny that....every nationality seems to do it.....the ones who take their time getting of, soon catches up with the speedy guys, waiting on their luggage:)

waiting on their luggage:)

Aha. But theyve thought of that too. Carry on bags fit to burst and squeezed into over head lockers so there is no room to put normal sized hand luggage. Still, if RyanSh!ttyAir is going to charge 25 sovs to check in a bag then fair play to them.

I think Ryan Air are great. Wroclaw to Stansted, Bournemouth, Dublin what more could you ask for. Ok, the service is not great but then again what do you expect for those prices.

Just found out today that my flight was cancelled by Wizzair from Katowice to Belfast, they didn't even notify me I found out by chance when looking for the departure time on their website and the flight no longer existed. Tried lots of other airline to get myself, wife and two year old girl home, however getting to Belfast was an extortionate price for the three of us, ended up having to Fly Easyjet from Prague to Belfast this Sunday...

Now i'll have to fight with the buggers to get compensation

Got your PM Marcus, looks like your stuck here for few more days then. Good job you checked the site before travelling all the way down to katowice.

Yes,.. I would have been really pissed then... As you said, Stuck, nothing else for it then i'll just have to drink more Tyskie untill I get home, burp!

They enter a contract to buy fuel at a fixed price for a set period. Many airlines have agreements giving they fuel at a fixed price far below the market price. Jet2.com are paying something like the equivalent of $60 a barrel for the next 2 years whereas the market price is $125 at present.

Jet 2 should sell fuel to Ryanair for $100 and make $40, Ryanair would still save $25.00.... I wonder if they thought if that? he he

Ryan was once cheap. Not any more. But whatever. They're still sh!t

Lol...but thats only your opinion......58 million passengers aint wrong........per annum!

Ryanair were nearly as important to Poland as the fall of the communist regime....brought millions of Polish people the "freedom" to travel........

They reckon by this time next year there will only be the big four players in business in Europe.......very bad news for all concerned!!

BA, Lufthansa, Ryanair, Air France.......the rest bust or taken over.....including LOT and Wizzair etc!!!!

Wizz air cancelling flights from and to Poland!

On Trip Advisor-Katowice forum there is disturbing news of this airline cancelling flights with no forewarning.

tripadvisor./ShowTopic-g274768-i6306-k2160146-Wizzair_the_big_ripp_off-Katowice_Southern_Poland.html

AND ALSO MY POST ON KRAKOW FORUM-

We are flying with them ( well its to be hoped!) on 3rd Sept to Katowice from Doncaster. Someone flying back into Doncaster last week from Poland, said that Wizz air had cancelled again a flight out to Katowice.

Anyone any experience of Wizz air cancelling flights?

The other worrying thing is that Wizz air do not have a cheap number to call and that people have found themselves stuck in another country with no assistance from anyone. They cant get sense out of Wizz air on the phones and there's no one at the smaller airports to help them either. Apparently, it costs up to a £1 a minute to ring Wizz air and people have had bills for £50 ringing them when flights have been cancelled. Its scary reading some of the reviews on this company. Seems that the customer relations is appaulling and do not expect a response to complaints or claims!

Does anyone out there know any alternative numbers for Wizz air that they are willing to share? I know that people on Krakow/Katowice Trip Advisor would be more than happy with any response! I would too incase the worse happens to us!!

Just been emailed confirmation of 2 flights cancelled from East Midlands to Wroclaw by Ryanair. Checking their website it looks like they have cut most of their services on this route and only fly on wednesdays and sundays. Of course flying on a sunday is are stupidly expensive :-(

Dont know why they have changed this, every flight, be it on a monday, wednesday or friday i have travelled on this route has been full.

I read recently that RyanAir have dropped some routes because they can't negotiate lower landing fees with some of the regional Polish airports.

I'm having a week in Poland in December and this is making me seriously consider getting the coach or train rather than flying. I've done it before and it's not as bad as you'd expect.

Trains are comfortable if you don't mind the changes and the time...but I would advise you to avoid coaches unless you are into pain. Unless it is one of those super expensive 'first class' style coaches that are popping up....most of them are miserable.

I've been on the coaches and they're exactly what you'd expect 24 hours on a bus to be like. The train seems doable, especially if I get an early train from Norwich.

wouldnt a train ride cost as much as a flight to Poland by BA or Lot? how long doesnt it take to get from UK lets say London to Waraw?

it's mental, i'm always like 'bydło przodem'

I admit I often rush out, but I only travel with my hand luggage and I'm usually in a hurry to get my bus etc. Anyway, why does that annoy you or make you laugh?

Re rushing to get on, I can understand that also. I once flew Ryanair from Hahn to Manchester and less than a 3rd of seats were taken. People were making haardly any noise and I took a stroll up an down the plane. Suprisingly, some parts really are much quieter (less noise from engine and air circulation fans).

Legroom is another issue - those over 190cm tall will know where I'm coming from! That's why I like my seat by the exit:-)

Hmm..I did it (nearly) in September on the spur of the moment.

Harwick-Hoek van Holland was 23 pounds walkup single
Hoek van Holland - Arnhem was 24 euro.
Arnhem-Berlin was 93 euro.
Berlin-Poznan was 22 euro.

That was walkup prices, so you should be able to find it cheaper, particularly if you don't travel IC/ICE within Europe.
