Question regarding passport and Poland vacation

Hello, I am 15 years old. I was born in Poland. My Polish passport expired last summer. My mother is the only U.S. citizen in the family. In about a month, I will be traveling to Poland to visit my dearest family who I haven't seen since I was 9 years old. I've applied for a U.S. passport and it is currently being processed. Hopefully I will retrieve my passport soon because I am planning to go for vacation to Poland in about a month for 6 weeks. Can I travel with a U.S. passport? and will I return safely back to the United States? I am really worried because I will be traveling alone, and if there will be a problem I won't know what to do.. Can anyone please help me? I will greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

contact the polish ambassy or better, some Polish travel agency in USA and ask them if you need visa toPoland, which I don't think is the case. If you find out that you don't, then you can stay in Poland as a tourist up to 90 days to my knowlege and travel back to USA without problems.

Good luck

I have dual citizenship - Polish and U.S of A. and I have two passports. I know answer to your question. But first of all, are you still polish citizen?
