Hello All
Advise required please:
Where can i go in Poland for a four / five day stay where.......

It's not overly touristy but there is still some good / reasonable nightlife ie a few clubs / bars / pubs etc. Also where the place is not full of British on the piss. I'm british like a few drinks but don't want to come on holiday only to find that some parts are the same as the UK. ie Pissheads on the streets everynight. I don't mind travelling a distance from airport if required, thanks for any replies.............

Short answer would be: every big city except Kraków.

Try Wraclaw, I'm English, saying that I enjoyed Krakow, it's not as bad as some might have you think, I went in several bars where there were no English to be seen or heard - they mostly congregate around the main square, Krakow has much more to offer in a way of things to see, beautiful buildings, castle, sights to go and see near by - excellent restaurants and some lovely little back / side street bars and coffee shops.

Wraclaw is a nice city, with less Brits.

Wrocław is a good bet with some nice spots to drink at. There is an Irish pub just off the market square, a little pricey but likely to keep the pissheads away.

I'm with Shelley on this one, plump for Wrocław.

Pah, it was mentioned in The Independent as one of the 10 up and coming places to go on a pissup. Or something similar...

Poznań is your place. Hardly any British tourists, not many Germans (unlike Wrocław :P) and plenty of places with ??? opening hours. And most of all, it isn't terrifying like £ódz is. The downside is that accomodation is pricey here, though.

Pricey.........................say a Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun, in a reasonable guesthouse. Do you think £160 or £40 per night would cover it ?? cheers
