Most Amazing places in Poland. What does it for you?

What struck you as the most amazing place in Poland? Was it a specific cathedral? landmark? cave? River? Monuement?

For me, it is Wieliczka salt mine. Yeah, a lot of people have been there and may seem like no big deal, but for me, this place is amazing and to think everything within was worked by hand and some things of free will like the statues.

What does it for you?

Zakopane, i love the culture the architecture, the music is off key to my ears but I still love it and I like the "get off my land", while shacking an axe at you, attitude

Pojezierze Zachodnopomorkie?

zillions lakes and forests. It is nice to camp, swim, go mashroom picking, blueberry picking- the whole area is nice if one likes nature. Szwajcaria Polczynksa is close to Polczyn Zdroj and it is part of pojezierze Zachdniopomorskie.

Drawski Prk Krajobrazowy - Wildrover lives in the vicinity of it, so he can tell you more.

What in Krakow?

Old Town. Buildings, cafes, restaurants, pubs, bookstores. It is also nice to drive around Krakow and explore small towns and villlages with old cementaties, churches and synagogues and monasteries. Malopolska - (Krakow are is kind of magic due to history). I lived 50 km form Krakow and the rolling hills are amazing.

You didn't ask about Bieszczady;)

Krakow. It was like stepping back into a fairy tale (Wavel caste, the old churches, renaissance style buildings)

Wieliczka for sure.

I absolutely adored spending a couple of summers in Kraków, however I'm afraid of how much I'd be disappointed in going back, guessing how much charm has been lost for the sake of modernization over the last 17 years.

For me, I'd also say a little farming village very near the border crossing at Medyka, for the relatives I met there.

Krakow :)

Poland Rynek

------------------

Something forgotten by most of Travel agencies.. Wieliczka Salt Mine! That's awesome, The mine reaches down to a depth of 327 meters and is over 300 km long!! It's also underground town with museums, restaurants, shops.. 15 miles from Krakow.

Poland Wieliczka

------------------

One of the Europe's best places for ski and other snow sports. That area is also home of Europe's rare animals, BEARS! Place called Zakopane.

Poland zakopane

------------------

One of my favorite's Polish places, Bieszczady National Park, located on south-eastern Poland. You can go there for climbing, great walk, great regional beer and food. You can also rent a small boat and sail down the lakes between the hills. Just look at that:

Nowa Chuta.

Lublin. Best city in Poland.

I know there are many facinating cities, but I'm looking for a specific site or place within these cities that grabs your attn. Don't mean to be a stickler, but there are many "favorite city" topics.

No, I uploaded from a file on my laptop.

I also use dropshots.com, but I've got stuff on there that I'd rather not post on a public forum LOL!!

There are a couple of other places that grabbed my attn.:

Biskupin (Biskupin - a settlement from the turn of the Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age (750 - 600 BC.)

Malbork castle
Many of you from PL have travelled here for school at one point in time I'm sure, but this place is also missed by many tourists.

hahah understood :) My photobucket isn't working anyway. i need to post pics above.

I have several from kolobrzeg. I may be back next month....one of the BAltic beaches anyway. I did like the bar/club that's on the beach there.
