Hello all. I was wondering if anyone could point me to any resources about Mount Ślęża. I'm interested mostly in the history of the area, the stone bear, the pre-Christan settlement, Ptolemy description of it as Asciburgius, etc. Preferably in English but Polish is ok as well, online or in print.

Thanks in advance.

Mount Sleza. Oh yes, a very interesting place. 30 km from Wroclaw. Between 1400 and 300 BC it was considered as a holy place. The area was a site for pilgrimages, where after the cleaning of the body and souls were performed in the holy streams, they would cross the rocks and would give themselves to the almighty energy and united with the nature. The teachings from that era tells us about the purity and perfection of God, which is in every human being.

You can feel and sense the energy in many areas of the Holy Mountain. The vibrations of the Earth and Cosmic energy felt on the mountain will help you get in touch with your inner souls as well as helping you overcome your physical problems. When you go up to Sleza Mountain, you will feel like you have more energy, your body heals from ailments and you have a sense of well-being. This mountain is also called a "mountain of promised intentions" because affirmations and prayers said atop of thie mountain have a way of realizing themselves. You also get cleaned from toxic karma and bad vibrations. All this feeling becomes even more stronger with water from the "wonderful Jacob's stream", which has energetic tendencies.

There are trips which include meditations in nature, Slavic riruals, such as: cleansing your body and soul with the power of energy, circle of intentions, accepting a Slavic name as a rebirth symbolizing a new beginning, bath in huge kettles and burning the bad karma by walking on fire to the sounds of drums.

The trips they offer include lodging and all meals.
Here is some information about their trips:

Thanks. Yes when I was there I definately felt the energy. It's a wonderful place indeed and I can't wait to go back. I went to Karpacz, Śnieżka, Wroclaw, Grodziec, etc. and Ślęża was my favorite. I'm looking for any information I can get on it.
