Krakow hotels

I've decided to spend a weekend (Friday night, Saturday, depart Sunday) in Krawkow sometime in the end of June. I want to basically relax and check out the party scene, maybe see a few sights.

Are ther any hotels recommended that are near (walking distance) to all the nightlife? I found a list of hotels on the internet, but there where so many to choose from I figured I'd better ask first.

I saw a Novotel Centrum on there, but it looks a bit expensive. There was a hotel called Crakovia, which seemed reasonably priced. Are either of these OK, or is there better places you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi. Ibis is also a part of Accor Group and wasn't so expensive some three yrs ago. Maybe you can give some price idea what you can (or are willing to pay) so that I can recommend you.

Thanks.
I'd like to stay around $100.00 USD per night; but would like the hotel to be nice also. I certainly do not want to pay much more above $150.00 USD per night.

Are these prices reasonable, or should I expect to pay more for a decent place?

It's in range of Ibis quality / services, see:

100 USD is approximately 280 PLN, and 150 is slightly above 400.

I have checked that for you on Ibis Krakow Centrum online, and here is what I found:

(Fri 22 wasn't available) so 29 June, stay 3 nights,

regular price: 299 PLN per night

of course, you can get better prices or higher depends on how much luxury you want to have and the location of the Hotel.

400 PLN /night is what you have to pay for 4stars class like Demel (10 minutes from the Main Square)

Try to google: grand hotel, holiday inn, orient, best western piast, classic, elektor, fortuna, fortuna bis, francuski orbis, kazimierz, logos, maltanski, novotel krakow bronowice, pod roza, pttk wyspianski, warsawski, wit stwosz, astoria, campanile.

wish you a nice stay!

Depends.

If I've got loads of Marriott points I stay there cos they all know me !

I've still got an apartment in Centrum so if it's not being let I stay there.

Otherwise I use Hotelspoland and get the latest deals. They have a five star 'mystery' offer usually which gets you in to the Marriott. Victoria, SAS, type hotels for a good rate, expecially weekends.

My favourite cheaper place is the Gromada centrum. Not brilliant but very covenient.

Hi all,
i am italian (from Rome) and i have planned to visit Krakow (and its suburbs) this summer (August). Is there anybody who may give hospitality to me? I don't like touristic accomodations and I prefer ethical travels. If you have suggestions about places to stay please let me know! Thanks.

Hi tele,

thanks a lot but it's not for me. I am alone and I don't need an apartment. Anyway I have had a look at the italian version of the site and apartments don't seem to be so cheap! If I had someone to share the room with.... Do you know anybody looking for a cheap accomodation in Krakow in August?

Bye

Are B&Bs still tough to come by in Poland? Namely, in Krakow, Torun and Gdansk (or their surrounding vicinities). I'll be driving through in the last week of August and need to make reservations ASAP. Any websites that might help w/ numbers?
