can anyone recommend a good hotel in Krakow for a romantic weekend?.. not hideously expensive, but nice.
Hotel in krakow for a romantic weekend?
Hi Sapphire,
Depends what you mean by expensive. Weekend rates for 2 at the Radisson SAS or Qubus hotels used to be around £80-90 a day, usuallly including brekkie. They were the hotels I used but they are 4/5 star so might be a bit big and impersonal.
BTW I always use hotelspoland.com cos the rates are usually very competitive. Worthwhile checking them if soemone local can give you more of a steer on hotels.

Thanks apple pie man. I will have a look at that link. The price is OK, but I dont really like those huge hotels, I will look for somewhere smaller.
Amadeus Hotel is good, but was booked when I went. As was Copernicus
I stay here if I could.

The hotel I stayed in was Hotel Francuski

Was not bad. Its seems much cheaper than when I went, which turned out to the busiest day of the year. At the price theya re charging 42euro a night, its worth it.

The WENTZL Hotel in Krakow is the only hotel right on the magnificent medieval rynek ( market place)and very romantic.you can check the customers evaluations of the hotels on the site of" trip advisor" krakow.
The hotel is fantastic and not very expensive. It is only rated as a 3 stars because there is no lift.( I do not know why they don't put one in) But the café and restaurant Wentzl are wonderful and owned by the wife of a famous writer in Poland.
