Kindergarten/preschool in Wrocław?

Hi,

I am looking for a kindergarten and/or preschool in Wrocław for my two children (4 and 6). Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance!
Since we are only planning to live in Poland for half a year, the children don't need to learn Polish, an English kindergarten/preschool would do fine. Or German.

We are also considering the British International school, but it is rather expensive...

By the way, I read about some Finnish families in the forum that were planning to move to Wrocław last year. If you are one of them, please let me know if you will be living in Wrocław this fall and if you started a Finnish/Scandinavian club for mothers as suggested.

PS: We are currently living in Sweden.

Hejssan,

About the school/kindergarden. Unfortunately there are not that many english speakng places to choose from. There is BISC (brittish) and WIS. The prices in both of these places are high. I have heard that there are some Polish-English places are well, but if your kids don't speak any english or polish as starting point, I wouldn't consider them. Have heard of German speaking kinderkarden, but I assume that is also Polish-German... If you decide to go to British school, your 6-year old would actually be going to real school, depending her birthdate to year 1 or 2. We are in Brittish school and happy with our decision, my kids are 3 and 6.

There are going to be quite many Finnish families (and some Swedish as well) in town next fall, so you will sure find company.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions...

Hej Selina,

Thank you for your reply. Actually, I want to send my children to BISC, only it's sooo expensive...
I think my daughter (who is 6) would like to go to a "real" school. She can already read and write and is quick in understanding things. The five year olds in our village started preschool early because the kindergarten got overcrowded and all the children just love being "school kids" now.

Anyhow, I need to get a job in Wrocław first...

Krzysztof: What do you ask? Why so many Swedish and Finnish families move to Wrocław?
Probably because many Swedish and Finnish companies are outsourcing to Poland...

Yes, I was just curious what would cause the expected Scandinavian "invasion" in Wrocław this year:)
As for the school, there's another thread here about Wrocław, it's for an older child, but maybe you can find some info/ideas there:

Usuful thread
