There are two ways to apply for an EU grant, upfont or after. The chances of your application being succesfull are greatly increased if you pay for the work upfront from your own funds. I have seen the applicant list for 2008 on the main web site unfortunatley i dont have it at hand, most grants awarded are for churches, generally the types of real estate that will benefit the public.
Youre best bet to source this information would be to contact an architect with experience in renovation of a historic nature, they will be able to point you in the right direction.
On one of the downsides (and there are many) the EU grant application procedure has been cancelled for the past two six monthly windows due to lack of funds.
I'll have a look around for the website and try and get back to you.
