Naspers a South African media giant has made an offer to buy Gadu Gadu for $155 million...

Through this investment, Naspers will take control of the leading independent Instant Messenger in Central Europe, with over six million unique users.
Naspers expects to build on this significant network by bringing its
international know-how to bear.

Well what do you think?
Personally, I hope this will be a step forward for Gadu Gadu and it will grow and grow. They are already expanding into Ukraine; however, on the downside it will not be Polish anymore.

i firmly agree and i already get a lot of spam messages over GG .. not what i signed up for it for in first place ... i wanted help in learning polish and find and make new and old friends :)

Do you know where South Africa is? Do you know where Nigeria is?

I'm getting most of my spam from America on Neostrada.

Please, don't generalise when you talk about African countries.

Maybe you should go visit SA - to enlighten yourself a bit?

I appreciate your patriotism, and if this is the only reason, then so be it.

However, statements like the above made by people who have no clue about South Africa is absolutely not cool!

Maybe much of it might stay the same? Naspers knows that the GG clients like their service. It's the thing to do for any new company taking over from another - keep the good things and improve the not-so-goods. :)
