as to The Witcher computer game (previously mentioned) It seams that our programers (CDProjekt) have done good job. The Witcher have very good ratings in all over the word.

"This is one game that I can truly say deserves to be the best PC RPG of the year, even though 2007 is almost over, if not that then the best PC RPG period."

I wrote an article titled 'Designed in Poland?' about a year ago as part of my study Industrial Design Engingeering at the Techincal University in Delft (Netherlands). It's available here in Dutch but I have been planning to translate it in English if there is demand for it.

Many of the things mentioned above are discussed in the article. I particularly love Polish graphic illustrators. Some months ago, smashing magazine did a roundup of 'Creativity Spark From Masters Of Illustration' and among the works where some great Polish designers:

PS: sorry for the links being not clickable, I'm new at the forum and it seems to be an anti-spam protection.

About a year ago I've actually encountered a flattering fashionable top at an "H&M" at one of the local shopping malls that stated "Made in Poland" on the inside back tag. I'm used to seeing clothing either made in China, India, and Indonesia more than actually made in the US.

I was researching a pair of Alabaster and Crystal Candlesticks that were my mothers. They are unique, rare and beautiful. There is a gold sticker on the bottom of one that says Design Guild - Made in Poland. If you are interested in seeing them email me and I will send picture. Also, I will be listing them on Ebay soon. I really dont know where my mother got them. They were only used on very special occasions.

Does anyone know when and where such unique items were crafted or made? I cannot find another pair like this and I have been looking and researching the web and there is nothing. Surely there is a company or a person in Poland that may be known for Alabaster and Crystal creations.
