well just watched the programme ... personally i thought it was a well rounded insight into Poland covering Gdansk .. Elblag .. Warszawa .. Poznan .. Krakow and a mountain village

My daughter found it quite interesting and asked many questions was particularly bemused by the Elblag canal when it left the water and went across land ... and asked many other questions along the way. Especially with the lowness of the platforms and the station without a platform lol.

Lech Wałęsa was first person spoken to and he quoted Churchill and wanted to read his papers.
The only british person was a person who came over and became a fireman and a person on a tv morning show in Poland ....

... but i found it very insight and enlightening :)

i wish they had showed a bit more about Krakow ..... but enjoyed watching the Wieliczka salt mines ..... i've been there and think it's absolutely amazing .... the chapel made out of salt !

This lad is a thicko and I feel to see why Poles find he has anything to offer. An embarassment to us English IMO

Degenerate and disgusting language :(

Seems to be doing alright for himself.

Degenerate and disgusting language

Admittedly not the sort of humour that I like.

Yeah i thought it was a good programme, just thought they spent to long on Michael Palin playing at being a train driver and they could of spent longer in Krakow and not just show Nowa Huta. But over all it was good :)
