It's a pity that the topic 'Germans file WWII claims against Poland' has been closed and nothing can be posted there. Hence I am opening this topic as a sort of continuation of the above-mentioned topic, namely, i'd like to address the rants and vulgar 'jokes' of the psychopath and Polonophobic racist calling himself 'a German.'

i asked the question becuase of the above post.

you seem to dislike german people, which is fair enough, but just wanted you to realise the lovely old lady that is the queen is german as well.

To the feller with a royal nick. - Re: your claim I dislike the German people. You mean - all the Germans? If you mean it, prove it. Her Majesty is English, not German, as far as I know. You got evidence to the contrary? Give it. :)

Anielka,

Orzeszkowa was a 19th, early 20th century, Polish author whose stories revolve around middle-class Polish life. Her language is lovely, e.g. "dlon" instead of "reka" etc.

Her Polish is not elaborate, but is almost like certain 19th century American writers whose names escape me at the moment.

I've never read Zygmunt Herbert, though. I enjoy Julian Tuwim and Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz.

Wesolych jajka!

I only hope Poland will get stronger so no country in the future will attempt to use them as crossroads towards a bigger nation, annulling their past or trying to change their people. I still do not understand why such rural, medieval thinking still has force in young people. It is sad.
