I don't understand you Lukasz...do you want to say that we promote membership for them? There is a difference between good relationship and an actual membership!Just watch Turkey....good relationship but they can scream till they get blue in the face but will never become members...

we promote them because we have the right to do so some countries support our idea some not, maybe one day we are going to achieve majority.

Not if you use the EU to bring unrest and tension and intrigues in another wise well working body! Other than that you can do as you like....ah the old polish fear of an overpowering Germany...but learn to live with that, we can't and won't make us more smaller just to be more likeable!

I think you don't understand Poland ... lets present it in this way. 85% of Polish people want closer integration. The fact is that for today Germany are the strongest memeber of EU and main power. Still Polish people want to intgrate on political level.

What? What do you want to say?

Read EU constitution ... and be quiet to referendum in Ireland.

Who is we???

Official Poland suppoerts Ukraine. "WE" is Poland.

It's a communication problem Lukasz...your english isn't the best, I really don't know what you want to say...

European constitution is created in way that biger countries will be much stronger than they are now (in EU). Poland wanted to change it, unfortunately couldn't. Instead of that 6 countries (not 5) are mentioned in EU constitution. Especialy when it comes to seats in important EU offices/tribunals of justice/... .

So...you would find it fair if...say....Liechtenstein could overrule Poland even if Poland has much more people? Somehow I find it hard to believe that...:)

So "WE" is a party or what? What do they stand for?

Of course not. I feel that result of this negotiations could be better. We were fighting alone and we achieved something other small and middle size countries were "good europeans" and achieved nothing. Lets leave it ... (read EU constitution)

So "WE" is a party or what? What do they stand for?

Firstly we want Ukraine in EU free trade zone (without membership in EU, old memebrs don't have to pay EU cash for them or open laubor market for them) . We have French and British support. On next EU summit there will be offical Polish proposal in this case. So wait for offical informations.

Be quiet for a moment, you three. I have something to say.

I once met a lday in Warsaw who spoke French. She sounded very nice speaking it too.
Why has no-one mentioned Frédéric Chopin yet on this thread? (Am I supposed toi call him Fryderyk Szopen here?)

Just watch Turkey....good relationship but they can scream till they get blue in the face but will never become members...

actually all people in turkey know that we will never be able to join eu. but we try cause, imagine, why an apartment in istanbul can cost a big money but not in tehran. because turkey is closer to global economy more than iran. and as long as we'll be in relations with west, our commerce will be better. which bazaar has richer people you sell your stuff there, simple commerce rule. even if we don't get in eu it's better to be in close relationships instead of getting away, cause you guys have the money. and here people are not in love about being "european" as you think.

I was actually stunt when while working for a French company I visited my boss'es father and when introduced he replied to me:"...aaa a Pole, the only friend France has...". They seem to remember about Napoleon's glory and its Polish path, over all I've spent there several months and in my opinion it is safer to admit that you're Polish than American...
