the surge of the dollar is causing a panic and central banks being called on to intervene, to realign exchange rates. should I take out all the money I have in dollars and convert it to zlotych? Things are at an extreme now and are bound to level out again to some extent.

I'mm panicing because all the money im making here means nothing in dollars anymore. But that might change by next summer when i go back home.

what do you guys think?

I faced this in the opposite direction a while back. I didn't change and would have made a bunch if I did...but now it is swinging back the other way and I would have to change again.

I never know what is the best choice. I kept thinking back then it was temporary and never imagined it going to nearly 2 so I kept waiting for the took a LOT longer than I thought but my hopes are it will go above what it was when I came and I will make it up.

I don't know.
but as you said the dollar is low now and will (hopefully) get better.
It is a gamble and i do not gamble, I have lost some money exchanging and "made" some money.
I don't think anyone can really give anything but their opinion on this one masks98.

masks98, you look different, have you done something to your hair? :)

It seems your priority is to make your PLN count for as much USD as possible for when you leave. I have the opposite idea. I want my USD to equal more PLN so when I need to use it here I get more out of it. If I was planning to go home very soon I would be on your line of thought.

I guess if I wanted the most USD for my PLN I might cash out now. It seems it will go up. And...if it starts dropping just put it back. Once again when it started climbing I didn't believe it would keep going. I was just afraid if i made any mig moves then it would reverse and undo or lose for me.

As was said it is a gamble.

I hope that $$$ plunge as low as possible. Now the exchange rate is pathetic $1.6 for a quid. It's because I'm thinking about buying a pimped ride in da US.
