Oh, Sparky you sound like a handy man who was used for his skills...only.. I hope not. That's so sad. I hope you'll find someone who will appreciate you for you alone first and the skills you have.

I used date a very handy man but I would never send him to my friends or family. He fixed many, many things in my place. We even installed a hardwood floor in my living room. It was a fun project.

Well, he is gone now, but the floor stays :)

oh, so sorry. sounds like you tried to impress her too much and it backed fired on you

Well I learned from it so it wasn't a total loss.
I learned when to say yes and when to say no.

I like doing projects with my lady. That can be rather fun and exciting. But the problem was that we were not spending any quality time together. All the work was causeing me to be lazy around her. I couldn't balance everything, and she couldn't understand why. She thought that I didn't want to be around her, and I think because I was too tired to spend time with her. I think she tought that I was sleeping around on her. Well I was sleeping around on her. but not the way she was thinking. I was literally sleeping.

But I can see how she might think that sence I would go home and fall asleep and then not answer the phone till the next day. I was a victim of circumstances.

Frank, I wanted my time with him.
My family can pay for for the big jobs, if they want to do remodeling...my friends can ask their boyfriends. I would "allow" some minor help...but not hours and hours of work.

Yes, I have fond memories of laying the floor. Even pictures to prove it. Ha!
(no dirty thoughts, please) :)

According to me polish girls are more emotion/love oriented than asian guys, and it looks like polish girls are more commited in their relationships...

Agni is right, there is an idea called kamen fufu in Japanese where love is borne out of social necessity, thus not true love. Japanese men prefer playing pachinko and slogging away at their company offices. They are not that open as people and have problems expressing their inner emotions. Polish girls, a mixed bag, but more committed for sure.
