You could compare him to me. That would flatter him.

Nah... I'm just teasing you natalie. :))) It's been a happy day so far and I'm cruising... If I think of something meaningful I'll post it up for you.

If he's a doctor: You're the cure that heals me.
If he's a pilot: You're the radar that guides me.
If he's a banker: You're the deposit I'll guard with my life.
If he's a teacher: You're the thesis I want to work on tonight.
If he's a student: Get back to your room and study, twit!

Nice?

how about a baker and a manager?

Let me see...

If he's a baker: You're the only dough I'll ever knead. I'd be broke without you!
(It's a play on words: dough = money, knead = need)

If he's a manager: Hey baby, I want to manage your firm.
(naughty, naughty)

well, if he's a good soldier then eventually you may have to wave a white flag. If you don't have a white flag, be creative and wave whatever comes handy at the spur of the moment ;-)

Sure I can. But there are two issues here:

- you never met me :D
- I've lived outside Poland long enough to not be "offended" by the word sexy

OK, seriously, I kinda have the same problem when a woman tells me I'm sexy, or even handsome. I am handsome (my mom told me 20 years ago, so I know).

How about telling him he's manly. That kinda says he's sexy without much of what he perceives as "gay undertones" Some Amercian women told me that and it was acceptable to me :)

Why lol?

A Polish guy, Sebastion, at work on Thursday was asking what I thought of his friend, Mateusz. I said he was mad. He said "But he is handsome" and I presumed there was a question mark more than one was intoned, for it was more like a statement followed by waiting for an answer. He is very right, the answer, if I'd given it there and then, would have been that Mateusz is the nicest looking guy I've ever met (I won't say 'ever seen' because I have seen Jared Leto). Point is, he didn't seem to think it would be anything less than a compliment to his friend if I thought he was handsome.

If my girlfriend would tell me "JesteÅ› seksowny" I'd be as pleased a dog licking a nut. :) Men like to hear that they're paramount. So phrases like "No one gets my motor running like the way you do, tiger!" or "You're the only god that's worshipped in this temple"... puts a man on top of the clan. Oh he'd clear the trash and do the dishes for you!!!

But avoid any comparision. Even if you're pitching him against himself. So words like "I'd clone you and do you both" or "I wish I had an island full of guys like you" are a no-no. It's the perfect recipe for a night with the boys!

It's not about the meaning of the word. I never felt uncomfortable hearing a girl (or even stating myself) that some guy is handsome. In general, I feel rather uncomfortable receiving that kind of praises, and I gather many other guys may feel the same way.

I see...
Same with some girls then. I feel uncomfortable hearing it, but take the compliment all the same.

There are more embarassing things I've heard than being called sexy though.

Nah, you can still convey the meaning, but perhaps by saying what is the effect of his presence. If "sexy" means what I think it does, then why not kill two birds with one stone: "you turn me on" means you think the fella is sexy, and at the same time you declare your full combat readiness ;)

"you turn me on"

I.would. not. say. that!

Then again, I can't imagine telling a guy anything like that unless he/his friend asks. Mostly I'd only sy it to my own friends, like 'he's hot, stunning!' etc
