I can't tell you how embarassed I am as an American by this. I take great pride in knowing where things are on a map and to see a fellow country woman crap all over that is disheartening ("I thought Europe was a country.") The only saving grace is that she is thought to be an idiot by most people (hard to argue), and not somebody to be imulated. Either way, it's very sad. Especially as she is a decently successful recording artist/model.

Don't be, we know that there are very smart and cultivated Americans ;)
