ktwc 28 May 2007 / #1I've just moved here.. i expectantly went into the charmingly named and refreshingly cliche-free scottish pubs of wroclaw, the haggis, the highlander, - but alas! only polish beer and polish people!(both of which i am very fond of, don't get me wrong, but i was feeling homesick..) So - are there any actual scots in wroclaw? and where do they hang out? or indeed, irish or english or welsh or american or canadian people, or anyone i don't have to speak polish to, as this is proving to be a most unsatisfactory solution for all parties involved.
elaine - | 12 28 May 2007 / #2I'm a South African living in Wroclaw, been here for almost 6 months now. I know about one Scottish woman and a Brittish guy that I teach with. I know the language can make you feel a bit alienated, but it gets better...
