It seems to me like it was yesterday. I can recall where and what I was doing on that sad and joyous day. I miss him and what he stood for. :)

Someone once questioned him.......how many Popes had HALF as many accomplishments he has??? I say we need more Polish Popes. Elect a man from a different country each time. Let's test the world's faith, not just Europe's :)

I've seen the recent versions of several, including this one. On a scale of 1 - 10, most I've seen get a 6. Each filled in history that I didn't know, such as the underground theatre groups during World War II, and the free university maintained at Lublin during the Communist era. -- And if anyone thinks, where has she been? On another continent. Give it a try, it's way better than your last word!

I really liked the one that had Cary Elwes as middle aged John Paul. He could actually make a decent attempt at a Polish accent. I'm not sure if John Voight was in this one its been a year or 2 since I've seen it.

The one with Adamczyk was not bad. This one is a waste of time.

Can't watch the Jon Voight one as I don't have TVP1 here. Maybe one day I'll rent the DVD.

I liked the one with Adamczyk as well. Did you watch the DVD? The bonus is interesting as the actor explains the reactions of people during the making, and also his meeting with the Pope when he was introduced to him as the actor who was going to incarnate him.
