Bwoo...I thought you all played snooker or sth. All the same color balls? What fun is that? Do you also play Billiards with the solid and striped balls?

BTW. The Big Lebowski is a great movie :)

I meant straight pool :) keeping points and calling each shot. I guess all can be considered billiards

lol in the bar, you have small tables too..... Easy to clean after 3-4 beers :) Straight pool is mainly in pool halls. I perfer the smaller tables, makes me look better :)

Nothing to it.
Just don't try to get a ball that's to heavy, unless you want to lose the feeling in your arm.

Funny, I just heard that too, for the first time in my life, that Polish people love to bowl.
I grew up in NYC, but moved to the south where bowling has only recently caught on. When in NYC, I never heard such a thing. Nor all the time I have lived down south. Until....

I have begun to date a man from near the Buffalo, NY area (he moved down here recently) and he matter-of-fact stated that most of the bowlers there were Polish. He managed the ally, so in that area maybe it is true?

Funy, I am a Pole and I never bowled, and I don't think I know a single Pole who ever bowled. The game looks boring to me, as opposed to bridge for instance ;)

I also wonder where some stereotypes come from. When I worked in Buffalo peopole would tell me that you can tell a Polish household by pink flamingos in their front yards. The first pink flamingo (and a plastic one at that) I saw was in Buffalo, NY and it was on a front yard of an American-Norwegian.

Oh, btw, since there are some Norwegians on the forum - do all Norwegians install pink, plastic flamingos on their front yards? ;)
