Yeah it’s a well know fact that its unlucky to buy your gf or bf a watch..... it’s a superstition.... but still better never to do it and tempt fate!

do you really think that? I know he wants a watch and would be happy to get one... maybe he is trying to finish with me?

Nahh dont think to deeply about it regarding buying him the watch, because he probably doesn't know the superstition..... but now you know maybe be better not ehh? Sorry hope i haven't wrecked your idea for a present..... but im sure you can think of lots more stuff he needs.

There is apparently a way "around' these superstitions.

I lost a pair of my gf's expensive shoes (long story) so I bought her new ones to replace them...she gave me 1 groszy so she technically 'bought' them from me and didn't get them as a gift :)

We are as happy as ever and no running away yet so it must have worked.
