You don't need a 2 metre dish to pick up Sky. One metre will be more than enough. That's what I have and in six years there has only been one time that I couldn't get a signal.
If you want to pick up BBC, ITV and C4, a two metre dish isn't big enough. You'll need a 2.7 metre dish for that.
Hi I moved from UK too, and living in Warszawa, I had to buy 2.4 metre dish for BBC1 and ITV channels, but you can only get dish more cheaper in UK - just type maplin on google its 189.00 Pound and about 50.00 Pound delivery so you can have 2.4 metre dish for 230.00 Pound- if you want to have a sky subricption than please let me know v-besahi@microsoft.com i know the way how to get it..
I have just moved to Kielce from Spain (I'm originally from UK) and in Spain a 2.4 m dish was needed for BBC 1 / ITV etc but even then late in the evening the signal went down.
If anyone needs a Sky card/account etc I can put you in touch with a UK company in Spain who I use. They set everything up and I think they charge 60 Euros but of course you have to pay the monthly Sky subscription by credit card..... info email: paul.martin@willpartnership.co.uk
