I see a lot of posts from Brits living in Poland about the poor level of customer service here , so i thought i should mention some good service i recieved here...

After buying a satnav system for my car from the local Biedronka i was a bit disapointed to find that there were no instructions in English...

I sent an email ( in English ) to the importers of the satnav.. a company called Sigmateam sp z o o in Warsawa asking if it was possible to get any instructions in English for my satnav...

The company replied very quickly in English to say that the satnav was tailored to the Polish market , and there were no English instructions available..but they did give me step by step instructions on how to change the language on the satnav to English...

I am happy to say i soon got the hang of the satnav..and will change the language back to Polish when i am more familiar with it.....

thanks again Sigmateam happy to do business with you...

Admit it, you're lost down some dusty track with a kinky haddock. :-)

Good service is great, no matter what the country...

I see a lot of posts from Brits living in Poland about the poor level of customer service here

I'm starting to wonder about this - I called the tax office today, asking them if they could possibly tell me about what PKD codes I had registered, fully expecting a "we don't tell you you over the phone" snotty answer. But no, they were more than willing to help and actually wanted to know if they could be of any further assistance.

Crazy times!

Sounds like that company has a good philosophy toward the customer and some nice people working there :)

Personally I would not (and am not) buy anything in Biedronka... let alone a piece of electronics. I hope you realize they treat their staff like ***

they treat their staff like ***

I have heard that said before...but a friend of mine is a manager at the local store , and another friend works on the till...they seem quite happy with their job...

There were quite a few well-publicised court cases of ex-Biedronka employees taking B. to court because of inhuman staff treatment and Biedronka lost -thanks God - over the whole line.

inhuman staff treatment

Yes , i read about this..but it is the whole Biedronka company that has such bad work conditions , or just a few supermarkets with very bad managers...?
