lef 11 | 477 30 Jul 2006 / #1Could some please advise, the price of petrol in Poland, what country petrol is imported from and does the price go up and down from day to day? Thanks in advance.
Tlum 30 Jul 2006 / #3I think it's about 4.5 zlotych per litre -- and the price is unstable from week to week (depending on the political situation in the world - especially in the Middle East). I'm not sure where they import it from - I guess most from the middle east, some from Russia.
OP lef 11 | 477 30 Jul 2006 / #4thanks for this information, the prices in Australia is about 1.32 $A which is about 3 zl, the prices vary from 1.25 to 1.50 (depends on the value of oil in the middle east)
bolo 2 | 304 30 Jul 2006 / #5But cars in Australia usually eat more gas than in Poland (since they usually have bigger engines than in Poland/Europe), don't they? :) Not to mention bigger distances between the places.
OP lef 11 | 477 31 Jul 2006 / #6very true, what point are you trying to make, sure the average motorist would travel at least 10,000 km per year by car.. car are generally large including a lot of four wheel drives,I must add that the price increase in petrol is effecting all people here...remember when petrol goes up so does meat, vegetables etc.
Wujek_Dobra_Rada 31 Jul 2006 / #8In my area it`s between 4.14 - 4.34 PLN - it depends from the gas station.
Wujek_Dobra_Rada 31 Jul 2006 / #10Not really - I pay c.a. 150 PLN per month - but it could be cheaper.
Arien 31 Jul 2006 / #11for me it's expensive, but I have to drive a lot. I pay about 200 € per month. :) could be cheaper indeed.
natteach 9 Mar 2007 / #12I hardly drive in Poland anymore. Fuel prices are way to high (compered to the US). Public transportation is the way to go.
