Hi
Im gonna send a letter by post. Anyone know how much it costs to send a letter to ie scandinavia? how much value in stamps must i attach. Sorry to ask here, but my polish is bad and I always experience communication problems . just this letter i cannot afford to be late, its a birthday card. u see. :-)

I already have 3 zl worth in stamps

btw what are stamps called in polish?

(I havent been in poland for long. I learn as it goes along)

stamps are znaczki. i think that if it's just a letter with a card in it 3 zl should be enough. ask the person at the counter to weigh it for you and tell them you want it to go by air mail (poczta lotnicza) so they put this blue sticker on it. just go and ask at your local post office, i'm sure they will help you out.

I normally go to the counter in the post office, hand the letter in and say 'Priority Prosze'. it normally works. I reckon you letter should be about 3 - 5 pln.

Great website Bartolome. Thanks for posting .

I often send cards to great britain from here and it usually costs me 3zl. I ask for "znacki do wielka brytania, prosze" and they seem to understand they have the blue stickers on the counter usually, so i stick one on before they weigh it so they know what i want. It usally takes 3-5days to reach its destination.
