British people are really bad when it comes to the weather. Generally, they moan about this, that and the other but I do find the Poles a notch above at this. They are experts!

Poland has always had a very poor economy and Pol;and has always traditionally been a country from which people have run away and with good reason. Poland will never be rich and successful country due to its location, poor natural resources and climate.

Poland has aloot to offer. And natural resources dosen't mean shit nowadays. Polish people who went to work abroad are coming back with money to boost the economy.

And the location of Poland is just perfect. With so many coutries around, Poland can only benefit by it, by being a transit link betwen east and west.

And Poland also have a large industri that is boosting the polish economi alooooooooot!!

So, can you bear in mind that from now on we are going to use an unemployed as a singular noun, similarly to the plural the unemployed????

lol. nice. you learned well grasshoppa'. ;)

Out with the puritans I say.

No, it`s OK. :):):) My bad. Too much on my mind.....

poor natural resources and climate.

what? what's england got? you're actually funny sometimes. :D

I think, to be honest, that this is an instinctive reaction of Poles. Go with the negative if asked.

totally. when in doubt, go neg. ;)

I did an A-Z list of Polish associations

come again..

Q 52% Poles: life in Poland is bad...

A. Well it's probably those who voted for PO!! And now they are disapointed!!

And the other 58% are in another country......

that's really just the 1% dadek was talking about. :D

I am told its a national tradition

national or maybe even ethnic. look at crow or crazy_whomever..

its the same the world over.

yanks don't moan that much and are way, way more positive.

They are experts!

It really depends on who was surveyed and, as OsioĊ‚ tacitly implies, when. Survey people with their families at Xmas time and you may find that the figure is as high as 90%. Given that the Poles are a highly family-orientated (oriented) culture, maybe even higher.

Januaries often feel worse, but Christmases can be tough as well. February at least is a shorter month. Why they didn't put it at the start of the year is something of a mystery. They probably just didn't have the same pressures in life back then.

Ask them in the summer. Pick people in well off areas in nice parts of the more affluent cities. Remember to smile when asking the positively worded questions.

Poland, like almost every other nation, is guilty of bandwagon jumping. When their mates start saying that Poland is bad in whatever respect, others follow suit. Moods and responses are determined by numerous factors, not least the prevailing political climate (and views of their buddies).
