Warszawa, Gdansk, Krakow, Poznan, Sopot, Wroclaw, Zakopane, any other?
Where would you rather live in Poland?
Another good thread left unanswered. I'd like to live in Wrocław for a while but I'm staying put in Gliwice

Wow it was a hard choice actually, i've got the historrical and party atmosphere of Krakow, i've got Poznan, which i would love to see and I've got Gdansk with the coast :)
I opted for Gdansk as i think i would like to live in the coast. Also its probably not as busy as say Krakow or Warsaw, if there like any of the big cities in England, overcrowding can be a problem. I also think that the weather would be better in the north:)

You couldn't have made a better choice, I assure you!!! :D
Should I choose Gdańsk too? I've never been there.

define better?
A fresh breeze with nice sea air, more consistant weather, unlike the UK where its rain sun rain sun rain sun!!!! Also i imagine that there is better weather there, for example more sun and probably hotter.
Absolutely... not :P

Poland is rain sun rain sun rain sun too

I wish you were right... Actually, Gdańsk and the coastal area in general is not as warm as Kraków or Wrocław in the summer. But the winters tend to be milder here...
And it's very often windy, which can be a real pain...
Poland is rain sun rain sun rain sun too
I'd go for a slightly different version:
rain rain rain rain sun rain ;)

what about the snow!!!! If i'm going to live in Poland i need snow!!!!
PL has plenty of snow and floods that follow. better get you a dinghy. :D
and as Jova said, Gdansk doesn't necessarily have better weather at all. summers up that way can actually be pretty darn cold. the water is not warm at all either.

the Vote is not finished yet i think the winner will be Krakow eventually :-)
I wanted to vote for more than one place... i finally chose Sopot, but Gdansk must be great, i really want to visit the city... Krakow is the best ^^ I'm gonna discover Warsaw in 3 months... I've been a few times to Zakopane, i like the city, skiing there is cool :) Never been to Poznan, but must be a lovely city (and i like its football club, Lech Poznan, very nice stadium)... Wrocław is very nice too, been there once and saw one of my favourite cars : the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, fµck!ng super car ;)) Mrzeżyno is not in the list... i love this place, i go there again this summer, close to Kołobrzeg, it's a small city but so pretty at summer time.

Well Poznań isn't the top tourist spot, but Poznanians are truly great people. Of course I live in Wielkopolska so I can be biased. :)
As for my pick, I had a tough time deciding between sunny Katowice and Gorzów Wlkp. I finally decided to vote for the latter because it is a vibrant city full of business and sex. NOT. ;P
Hehe ;) I know Katowice a little, but i don't think i've ever been to Gorzów... Have they a football club in Liga 2 ?... ^^
I don't have the slicest idea. :)

The climate in Gdansk isn't as cold in winter as it is in other parts of Poland, and it's cooler in summer as well. Yes, there's usually a wind but I like that. I also like rain and we get plenty of that. Snow? Not much last winter. We had more in March than in any other month but it only lasted a couple of days.
If living by the sea is important to you-it is to me-you'll love Gdansk. And the Old Town is the prettiest in Poland.
