Homosexuals in Poland / Hands off (PETITION)

Bonjour ;) We are an evolved species. At the beginning, men used to hunt and work, while women stayed home taking care of children. Now both men and women work and have the same rights. The time has changed, and people as well. You have to understand that feelings may be different from one person to another. I prefer a gay or a lesbian among my friends, than a serial killer ;P LoL

Wow ! And have you still any link with your mom and dad

I have not seen my dad since i was 8 years old but i still see my mum.
She is more accepting of it now but,she asked me is it just a phase im going through? but i told her that it wasnt and it is for real.

Im not bothered what my dad thinks because he used to hit her about when i was a kid.

there are huge differencies in way of thinking betwen others parts of Poland and it is important as well

Its very similar in the UK.
Most people here are very accepting and most are just not bothered, its what you are as a person.
Of course, you do get the type that will dislike you, even though they can see that your ok as a person...as they dont know how to deal with it and thats when you can get trouble.

But i have never been beaten up or anyone trying to start trouble with me if i go to a night club or pub...but i know some that have.

thanks for sharing your experiences with us JayUK. I have lots of friends who have been through similar.. which is why I was making the point that most people would not choose to be gay, given the **** that they often have to deal with.. they just are. As for Jareck, I reckon he is in-line to become the next Jerry Springer.. I did see one once where a woman married a horse.

I dont mind sharing my experiences and i appreciate that you and others, like to at least see the other side to the coin.
But i dont think being gay is a problem its the stereotyping and views of ignorance that causes the problem and its just a sexual preference which is so badly tainted especially if you have to deal with it in a deeply religious country....i dont want to remark about religion again,as i have done before on this thread, but it certainly doesnt help the situation.

For example....say it was straight and as my family is homophobic (apart from my sister) i would most probably be saying and believing the same garbage as the other homophobes and jumping on the bandwagon of "I hate gays"

Sometimes i am ashamed of being a christian because of the sheer hatred i can stir about something it doesnt approve of and this topic is one of them.

But i was born into a christian family (Church of England) so really,im ******** to speak.

They are dangerous creatures!

If 2 people of the same sex love each other, what could you tell them ? It's love, there is no weird love, so let them live their own way of life ;) I don't care !

That is because you are French! French people will sleep with anything that moves!

What book? I'm not even Catholic. I'm an atheist but I don't fail to see what's wrong with homosexuals. They are worthless. Everyone is entitled to their opinion too and I gave you mine. Like it or not.

People who poke their noses into the private lives of others and their sexual preferences (that involve consenting adults and do no harm to others), and make sweeping generalisations about them...

I don't make sweeping generalisations about these people, such as 'They...

are mentally ill

But these are attitudes I have very little time for.
The time for these attitudes has passed...

the dark ages

I've heard about Socrates, Tchaikovsky or Joan Baez.
Who are you? What is your worth?

I don't really care what they do in private however I do care when this scum is affecting society and trying to influece others to adopt their depraved sexual choice. While there's no imminent threat, it still exists in the long run. Yeah, the dark ages are gone and everyone has evolved except the homos.

WTF are you blabbing about?
Ancient Greek men have been screwing one another thousands of years ago and it never met any opposition or scorn. As a matter of fact it was an accepted behavior, even by such person as Plato.

I see this is still a popular topic...Sexuality should be kept in the bedroom where it belongs...attention craving homosexuals are like small children who focus only on themselves...as with children, I think they need a 'time out'...there is no need for 'special laws' regarding homosexuals...under civil law in most countries, they are given the same

protections as any other member of society.

I don't care what the ancient greeks did. Back then people would screw sheep if they felt like it. It's sick no matter how you look at it. We don't want homos in Poland. Take your homosexual support elsewhere.

There were homos in Poland as everywhere, there are, and there will be. YOU should leave Poland, what is your problem with the homos ? It's not a disease, not a mental illness (not it's not)...

Yes it is a mental illness. No one with a healthy brain would engage in homosexual activity. 99% of Poles are not gay so I guess you're the one that should leave. You're not welcomed there, maybe in Greece.

myths of Achilles and Patroclus :)

Zeus had a a special liking for young boys :)

Somehow I see no long term effect of that. Not on myself at least. But perhaps orzel is noticing some changes in himself and is getting worried that the long term effects are true indeed.

@orzel,
hey, watcha gonna do. it ain't like you're gonna be the only gay in town. And many will tolerate you too, little darling :D

Nope, you're the one who need to ask a doctor what's the problem, dude.

No one with a healthy brain would engage in homosexual activity

Totally stupid.

99% of Poles

Where did you find this ? And does it mean that almost every Poles are homophobics ? Crap.

I guess you're the one that should leave

I couldn't as I live in France.

You're not welcomed there

I go to Poland each time i want to.

PS : i'm not gay, but i can't understand you're Middle-Ages way of thinking...

Let them screw each other, what should one care about who sleeps with whom? As long as they don't try to convert straight people to their ways, and straight people don't try to convert them to their ways, all can be hunky-dory. Some of the nicest people I have met in my life were homosexual.

:)
