Yep we play D&D, Warhammer, World of Darkness, and all of RPG and LARP games ;)

There are specialised shops for RPG and wargames.
Not only in Warsaw, but in every major city in Polad.

Ewwww

Guns..?

As in matchlocks and firelocks, not modern weaponry. Certain rolls would lead to misfires, explosions etc - I made up an entire table just for firearms. The PC's absolutely loved them and I loved having them too (not much you can do but surrender in the face of a well drilled group of NPC's formed up with arquebuses facing you). Don't knock them if you haven't tried them!

I remember one (of the many) priceless moment- it was near the end of our campaign:
Our party's human rouge (who hates elves, but unfortunately us- other three members of the party- were elves) found once a strange ring and put it on finger before giving our party's sorcerer a chance to check it for curses. It turned out that the ring indeed was cursed and the owner of the other (who we didn't knew) could easely kill him

(the rouge) from any distance. After hearing this, he tried to remove it, but the curse didn't allow him to do so. Having no other way he tried to cut off his finger- but his will check didn't succeed. Then he asked us instead to try cutting of his finger- only my ranger dared to try, but when it came to swinging the sword- i rolled a '2' and cut off his entire palm... I planned to keep it as a trophy but (too bad) the priests took care of that injury (after removing the ring)...

I used to play this kind of games. There are really many people in Poland who play D&D, Warhammer i Swiat Mroku (World of Darkness)...

I used to play warhammer but stopped at 14, when I discovered alcohol and drunken girls.

Dungeons and dragons... Never heard of such a thing. Nothing to do with sado-masochism, is it?

When I was a student, there was a mate of mine who did that sort of thing (role play, I think he called it - I'm not referring to S&M). Every evening when he returned home, we used to ask him 'Did you win?' After a while, we could see this had started to get his goat. Luckily, I think the goat turned out to be quite useful when combating pixies or something.

It's highly regulated and sophisticated. It appeals to ur creative side but attempting to pull chicks based on it is just lunacy. U can roll a 20 if u want but u will still be tugging ur wire.

It's the whole fantasia thing that appeals. It's so spontaneous with a DM that can improvise and throw u off balance. It helped with conception and picture creation.
