And i only give advice when i feel i can help somebody, if you think its rubbish then i'm sorry but i'm only trying to help people

The best way to help people is to listen to them

Agreed

But there is also a time when they have stopped talking where they ask, what should i do about it, like they do on the forum.

For example, 'i'm really shy and there is this guy i like, how can i approach him?' thats a question so i give an answer, i can listen and often do, i can't prove it to you beyond reasonable doubt you just might have to trust me :)

most of my family past and present are involved in the armed forces

So ? What does It have in common with national service ?

hhhhmmmm maybe, but i've got the balls to come on here when i'm wrong and admit it and even apologise, i think there are many on here who wouldn't even realise there wrong let alone typing a public apology

If your going to post views like i've got then you've also got to have the bottle to admit when your wrong, i have no problem with doing that

Sounds like a bit of a rant,

No rant, just pointing out facts

its pathetic and ridiculous that you feel, so strongly apparently

Not really, you do that enough for both of us!

but i wouldn't care if i had to do nine months, wow big deal.

Easier said than done, 9 months is a long time.

You think i'm gung ho

In a word - yes

you don't know the last thing about me

Enough by your stupid statement, you are a child.

My opinion does not make me gung ho

Yes it does

for your information i'm a bit more about other people than myself

Could have fooled me

Of course people don't want to die but i'd rather go down fighting than speak for example german for the rest of my life!!!!

I arrest my case!

Actually I have my own ideas little boy, I'ts quite obvious you dont.

With out considering the rest of this topic, no, 9 months in the Armed Services is not a long time. Its a very short time out a persons life. Most people, faced with other facts in thier lives, would consider this so!

Really? Well you go and live in a hole for 9 months and cut yourself off from family and friends and basic comforts...Tell me do you have any friend that have done compulsary service, because I have friends that served in the Israli army and its not easy and I wouldnt want to do it so I wouldnt wish it on anyone - because in Israil the women do service too....

OMG - done it. Thank you Amathyst and all that. Nursing Corps. Yup.

I spent 25 months with someone in my BF's family dying, this was more than 9 months armed services ever will be

No offence but what has that got to with national service? Do you really think that there is anyone on this forum who hasnt lost someone dear to them?

Back to topic, nation service is a waste of money and in our economic climate it will never be possible to revive simply because the government will not fund it and companies will not hold open jobs like they used to.

OMG - done it. Thank you Amathyst and all that. Nursing Corps. Yup.

So what you were a TA or a regular, it was your choice! I for one would not want to....

Nope what I am saying is guy who was BF did 9 months away from family in National service. But that 9 months was integrated into 25 months of his Gran's dying and the time he and I and his sister spent away. Aye so that's 18 months, I'm not explaining this right...he got 7 months with his Gran. Wow.

Sh*it simply spoil the air sometimes...

It is rather rich from you living in Szczecin. I have been there, several times. A dreadful place! Need I say more?

re: I have been there, several times. A dreadful place!

- Even the most beautiful things appear dreadful and hateful to a dreadful hate-monger, such as you are. Why do you stick to this Polish forum? Are you retarded from the prolonged state of hate?

re: Need I say more?

- Absolutely not; all you need is to go away where you belong (even to the little s...tty 'country' in the Middle East).

Some say that some people get retarded and hateful from having had incestuous relations with their parents.

Have you had such a relation with your mother?
:)

There is nothing nice about Szczecin as it is, I have relatives from Szczecin working behind the sweet counter in Woolworths in Berlin! Says it all.

Sweet counters in Woolworths Berlin... Trolleys in Tesco Guildford..your family really are dominating the retail world

Yes, she finished or at least studied economics before working as an au-pair in Germany and then married and stayed on as a mum! We have no contact now, this was years ago. Yes, we are dominating the world retail business. I am thinking of a Harod's take-over bid but please do not say anything before the papers release the storey on Monday.

release the storey on Monday.

would that be the first or second storey of the building?
Michal  - | 1865
4 Aug 2007 /  #83
The ground floor from what I can remember. I think that the Woolworths store was closed, I am not sure as it was many years ago.

I just wondered which storey of the building you was referring to in your story

Yes, I know what you are saying and understand that there is a difference in spelling but I can not look every word up in my Polish English dictionary as it would take me for hours. I do understand that my spelling is not always the best, even with the automatic help of spell-check.
Daisy  3 | 1211

I do understand that my spelling is not always the best, even with the automatic help of spell-check.

then why do you constantly criticise others for doing the same?

Do I ?

What has any of this to do with National service in Poland anyway?

No rant, just pointing out facts

I've no problem with facts however they have got to be official and not the view of one person :)

Not really, you do that enough for both of us!

Yes, well i have passion in abundance :)

Easier said than done, 9 months is a long time.

Agreed, it isn't a walk in the park but considering other things you could or have to do its short.

In a word - yes

I'm cool with that, your opinion is your opinion, the world wouldn't be right if everybody agreed with me, liked me or even understood me.

Could have fooled me

Maybe i did :), anyway calling me selfish isn't exactly going to hurt me, i'm sure other people will judge me using their own brains.

Enough by your stupid statement, you are a child.

Now thats just low and coming form a grown up, not very sensible either ;) if your going to have digs at least use something other than my age.

Actually I have my own ideas little boy, I'ts quite obvious you dont.

Hmm the little boy stuff again :) age is nothing, and i'm glad you've got your own ideas, you wouldn't be an individual if you didn't. As far as not having my own ideas, now your clutching at straws.

I'm not into bad mouthing woman but take on board, 'your never to old to learn' :)

thnx

T :):) xx

nation service is a waste of money and in our economic climate

If your talking about Poland here, I agree 100%, there are more important things that Poland could be doing with its money.

It's probably because it would be too hard to take EVERY man into the army. There are always exceptions in life that can't be avoided.

Sigh of relief- glad to hear that!
