BubbaWoo 33 | 3,506 15 Jan 2008 / #1if you're convicted of a motoring offense in the uk the courts can fine you and endorse your driving license with penalty points - the number of points is reflected by the severity of the offense.in the uk, if you build up 12 or more penalty points within a period of three years, you'll be liable to be disqualified under the 'totting-up' system. any endorsements you have must stay on your driving license for four or eleven years, again depending on the offensei have been told that in poland the number of points you can accrue on your license is double the uk - 24 - and that these are cleared every 12 monthsis there any truth in this?
hello 22 | 890 15 Jan 2008 / #2That's correct - even though driver license could be suspended with either 20 or 24 points (20 points - for drivers who had over 20 points within the first year of getting the license). Here is a full description of Polish driver license points of requirements (in Polish). The points are cleared every 12 months.
outintheyard 27 | 517 16 Jan 2008 / #3I think I will bring by VW to Poland and rack up some points and then go home! This could be an international competition to see who gets the most pints from the most countries! Hmmm the game shall begin!
OP BubbaWoo 33 | 3,506 16 Jan 2008 / #4the great thing is, you dont even need to go home - just hang around for 12 months and start again!
