They don't notice that they smell.

Or they simply lack a routine that most normal people have.

They're called technojeby. Go on, gel your hair so no one will see you didn't wash it for days :-) Then you sleep with a sticking rough thing on your head. Hot! You say you and your friends noticed Polish people don't wash. Well then, I noticed English people don't brush their teeth. It's you who's dirty. Mentally dirty and sick of jealousy.

Dirty mentally

I noticed that some Polish girls are dirty.

Are we talking about mental hygiene or actual hygiene?

KEEP FILTH PURE!

Anyway...

the skin headed people

gelling of hair seen as a homosexual act

To put hairgel on a bald head would seem slightly queer.

any access could be annoying: may it be too much BO, not enough BO, too much gel, not enough gel.
Still, this topic is slightly pointless;)

I agree but what do you expect from an Englishman who gells his hair and doesn't brush his teeth ha ha ha.

Thank God I'm not the only one who suffers from the the staring phenomenom ... thought there was something wrong with me for a while !!

As for personal hygiene ... the lasts couple of posts are all pretty defensive ....In this day & age I don't believe anyone doesn't have access to running water , poor personal hygiene is nothing short of disgusting & should not be tolerated .

I agree, I will be late for work as long as it means getting my teeth brushed and having a shower...the hair can wait. Then first thing after work I need a shower because running about all day after folk leaves me feeling dirty and, even if it's not there, i feel like I must smell.

As for hair products...I think they are great, my hair is all stupid and fluffy without a bit of wax on it. I look like a teddy bear just out the tumble drier when i come out the shower (my hair anyway) and I hate it. Nothing wrong with a bit of control on the hair front.

Pretty much spot on,

It was a simple question asked politely and the number of over defensive and stereotypical comments just seems a bit over the top.

I was only wondering if it was culture differences etc thats all.

Go on, gel your hair so no one will see you didn't wash it for days :-)

BTW gel/ wax doesn't work properly unless your hair is clean hence washing it twice a day :)

No-one washes their hair twice a day. That makes the scalp dry and causes skin diseases.

I wash my hair twice to 3 times a day and it is lovely and soft and my scalp is not dry.

Diseases from washing hair and being too clean?

The idea of it would explain a lot about why Poles tend to give personal hygiene a lower importance than other nations.

well, it's kind of true, it just depends what kind of hair you've got, some types of hair are prone to falling out because of frequent washing some are not, some are getting dry after washing some are not, you can usually help things out with a proper conditioner. But that also doesn't apply to all people... And if I remember correctly there are some Shampoos with labels that say that you shouldn't wash hair with them to frequently. The other thing is that hair of some people get really oily more often that's why they wash their hair more.. maybe that's Cardnos case.

There's this saying: "Częste mycie skraca życie" which translates to
"Frequent washing shortens your life" maybe that's the cause of what you guys are mentioning.. I think that the base for that saying is that while washing you also wash away some natural bacterial flora which is co-existing with you - which might be a cause of an alergy, and actually in many cases is, overusing of different cosmetics and exaggerated hygiene is a known cause of allegries.

Anyway for me the different approach to hygiene is a cultural thing, of course not in the played up manner you are introducing.

YOU are a ridulous thing. It's a known fact that you can easily dry out your hair and scalp by washing it too often. Ever heard about psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis? No? You're no better than the working class, are you? Must be your great English education system that makes me deal with complete retards such as yourself. Using the shampoo more than once a day DOES cause bad skin and hair condition. I never said being too clean or washing hair once a day does. I always smell nice, my hair is soft and clean, my teeth crystal white. Of course, you dare to deny it because I am Polish and you dare to say complete bollocks about my nation to make it look any worse than yours. Guess what it is not. I swear to God, my dog has higher IQ level than you.

Ever heard about psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis?

Yes thanks. I'm glad that you have finally solved the mystery of what causes them. In the west doctors don't know what causes them. You however know that the cause is shampoo.

How clever of Poles to find that the cure to both psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis is not washing. In the west shampoo is often prescribed for seborrheic dermatitis!

Yes, the one that doesn't dry your scalp out. I had this problem a few years ago and the doctors have given me the thing called Daivonex and a shampoo for very sensitive skin. They told me I should NEVER wash hair more than once a day and it's a well-known fact. You're full of hate and criticism towards Polish people so you would make up any LIE. I find it highly pathetic.

People also stare in suprermarkets, Usually the skin headed people and i had always put it down to the effects of drug taking. (i'm not paranoid several of my English friends have noticed this before)

Gelling IS HOMO.

They're called technojeby.

That was quite possibly the best example of an over defensive response,

I'm not a doctor so I have no idea about these diseases and didn't profess to, You however did! Being clean cannot cause any diseases fact! (it might limit the bodies natural defences to bacteria but can't initiate culture growth)

I'm no better than the working class no you're quite correct but from the very limited information I have about you I can safely say I AM better than you due to the fact that I can have a civil conversation without going on the defensive.

Where in my original post did I say ALL people here smell?

Regarding your dog having a higher IQ than myself (136) I demand to see your research materials immediately as I think you may have got your sums wrong somewhat. (not saying that dogs are stupid before you get all up tight and over defensive about that too)

I'm not doubting the fact that you are clean and have perfect teeth I've never met you and can't judge. In general I like people here in Poland unfortunately there are narrow minded idiots like yourself who give other people a bad name (your response proves this). Maybe one day this will change.

I'm not spreading **** about your nation, just stating what I have observed in a similar manner as i was curious clearly I'm not the only person who noticed this judging by the other replies in the thread.

As for the great English education system, Yes it is great soon after graduating I landed a managerial position in a very large company in the UK so the system obviously works very well.

As for being a retard you don't even know who I am and being so pre judgmental won't get you very far in life at all.

Do you also find funny when people don't have enough money for food?

They always find money for piwo and papierosy. They don't care if they stink. Piwo is more important.
In the late 70's/80's people smelled even worse because you couldn't even buy soap in the stores, but now you can buy everything. Some people got used to not washing.

No, this thread is very offensive though.

Being clean cannot cause any diseases fact!

Again: I never said that being clean does cause diseases but overusing the “surfactants” does indeed.

I can safely say I AM better than you
Regarding your dog having a higher IQ than myself (136)

Ha ha ha. And here we've got, ladies and gentlemen a typical example of an English person with a superb issue. You are pathetic.

I'm not doubting the fact that you are clean and have perfect teeth I've never met you and can't judge. In general I like people here in Poland unfortunately there are narrow minded idiots like yourself who give other people a bad name (your response proves this). Maybe one day this will change.

Polish people you like are those who either don't understand English and have no idea at all what kind of a bastard you are or have issues about their nationality so will let you insult them. A person who's actually smart and won't let such a ZERO as yourself say a lot of crap about their country, you call "a narrow minded idiot". Again: very typical, I'm not impressed at all.

As for the great English education system, Yes it is great soon after graduating I landed a managerial position in a very large company in the UK so the system obviously works very well.

Obviously your mummy and your daddy paid for it as that's all you need to do studying in the UK. Funny enough, you ended up in Poland, a country where everyone smells. May I ask you how come you live in this 3rd World Ghetto Place being educated? Please, tell me you followed Prince Harry and Prince William's education system and give me a giggle. Did you also wear nazi-costume for a Halloween party? :-) Don't answer me, I cannot waste my time for you anymore. Perhaps you should go back to school. Goodbye.

They did actually! well my mum did as my dad is deceased but I also worked whilst being a student, Something which students here can't comprehend.

lot of crap about their country

I had this exact same conversation yesterday, Poles go to England and come home saying how **** it is etc, tit for tat.

There are some things I quite like about Poland and some things I don't I spend 50% of my time here as its my job.

Again read the title and you will notice the word some. Doesn't take a lot to understand now does it.

You really make me laugh, No honestly you do. A civil question answered with a load of personal insults. Kudos to you.

I don't agree with the smell being worse in Poland at all. I come accross more smelly, unwashed people in UK! As for 'manly odour' it is disgusting and i can't imagine a woman being attracted to that. Normal body smell is fine if not disguised by aftershave or perfume (although i do have a soft spot for nice afterhsave ;), but sweat is awful. Hair gel is fine if not used in excess. Shower 2ce a day, as someone mentioned before, is a bit much unless you work physically or simply sweat a lot...

As for boy racers, you get idiots like that everywhere. It is a fact though that Polish drivers on average are more aggressive and jealous of drivers with nicer cars ;).
