Found an online TV site with Polish channels. Go to IGOCOLO. Have about 10 channels. There is a free trial, and quality is really good.

This is a con, as if you do a search around on the internet you can find these channels online for free:
multilingualbooks.com/online-tv-polish.html
radiostacje.com/indextel.htm
delicast.com/tv/Poland/TV_Polonia
craftytv.com/
tvover.net/TVStation,search,0-9-0-0-0.aspx
findinternettv.com/index,search,0-9-0-0-0.aspx
beelinetv.com/
wwitv.com/portal.htm this one has 600 channels all free

I could go on and on finding these, you can do the same if you do a simply search and as you see these are free ones :O)

Euro Jimmy you keep pushing this out each month and sorry mate but every channel that you can find on this crap you can find with other free programs, are you making money out of this?

Why pay money for free crap??

And in the other post you said you can control your satellite TV with this, which is rubbish as even Slingbox and Hava problems with this function, as you need the multibox receiver to decipher the signal which in turn is controlled manually by the remote control. You can get around this but it costs hundreds of pounds in tech gear.

or buy a 60cm dish and cable from eBay only about £15
then get hold of a FTA (free to air) digital satellite receiver £10 from eBay or less

and you get all the free channels from Poland (and some)

what i have .... and it keeps me sweet as i can watch Fala Zbrodni ;-P

I have been thinking of doing this in reverse by setting up a FTA satellite TV dish at my home, although I still think I will go with Slingbox, as then I don't need a bloody great big 1.5 metre dish in my garden.

Slingbox you just set it up in the UK, link it to the internet and a TV aerial, as simple as that. However, you need to find someone who has no restrictions on their bandwidth in the UK.

Sorry...UKPolska, i don't want to turn this thread in the wrong direction. I have posted one other time, because again, people were asking about TV, so i answered. But it is upsetting to read your response to my post because it is incorrect.

First, it is not a con. The service actually allows you to control a satellite reciever connected to Hotbird satellite at 13 degrees East. All of the Polish channels on IGOCOLO are from Hotbird. They are not from free sites. If you tried the trial, you would see this. They are all the same bandwidth, and the same quality. So it is not a compilation of free stations around the web.

Second, while some channels may be available on some free sites, your statement that they are all available is completely inaccurate. TVP, TVP Kultura, Polsat 2, Polsat News, etc are not free on the sites you mention, and if they were, they would be unwatchable due to poor quality.

Third, if you live in Europe, then yes, all these channels are on your satellite. If you are an expat, which is the point of the service, then the channels are not available.

Finally, to state that Slingbox and Hava cannot control a reciever, while that may be true, is not true of IGOCOLO. Just use the trial. There are over 600 channels, all of the same bitrate, from the same reciever, and you can control whatever you want.

All I am saying here, is posting before actually investigating or trying something, is like condemning a movie before you watch it. Maybe the service is not for you, but your post was obviously based on a quick look at the site, rather than facts. Maybe this is the newest remote satellite technology, and maybe it works.

I'm sorry but I did take a look at it and I did take the trial, and it nothing new, but that aside, what I object to is you coming here peddling your site, and trying to trick people into signing up, by saying, quote, "I haven't actually bought the service yet, but if there are any expats out there, it is worth checking out." And then you go on to say, "yes...tried the free trial. Cool concept. Will probably buy once i get settled a bit more."

So I ask you again what is your interest in this company and why are you using underhand tactics to get people to sign up? As even by your profile you admit the site is yours, see below:

And the only posts that you have made relate to your product.

Everyone has a right to promote their product, but at least be honest about your intentions. :)

So what is the cost of this product then?

i just have the 60cm one for hotbird 13E alignment and the 40cm one for my sky digital reception

The trouble is we are right on the edge of the 90cm reception area, and to be 100% sure we would need to get a 1.5 meter dish and we would look like the Polish equivalent of Jodrell Bank hehe

Uk, someone asked about TV, so i replied. There is no "trick" - there is a free trial, with no commitment/payment of any type. There is no mal-intention. If someone is discussing where to get TV, then I respond with a site that offers just that.

THe cost is 19 euros a month. However, the site is more for arabic or italians, as there are over 150 channels of each.

I can't speak for the other post. This account is sometimes utilized by a few others. My postings are specific to this thread, so the other posting is not relevent here. Viral marketing doesn't hurt anyone, and as long as the postings are in the correct thread, it can be beneficial to everyone.

Slingbox can be good, even very good. I found it fiddly to use though.

Easier to use is streamtorrent. You have to know the address of the stream (not hard to get from the internet) and then you have all the channels.
