Hej Sokoły is a traditional Polish song that was popular among soldiers during the Polish-Soviet War. The title translates roughly as "hey falcons." The lyrics are about a Ukrainian girl to whom her Polish boyfriend says goodbye for the last time.

Oh dear, I used to sing this song to the kids I was looking after as an au pair. Although they were English, they were able to follow words after a few times and absolutely loved it.
