Poland has a long history of soaring excellence. Many Polish gliders have won or placed high in world competitions, including the SZD-19 "Zefir", the SZD-24 "Foka", the SZD-36 "Cobra", the SZD-55, the SZD-56 "Diana". So the "Diana 2" is simply the latest in a long series of outstanding Polish sailplanes. Diana Sailplanes has been committed to promoting soaring through providing customers with the best quality glider purchase packages. We sell new gliders, oversee their finishing at the factory, perform pre-shipment inspections, and arrange export crating and packaging. We coordinate all overseas shipping, supervise assembly and advise on the proper operation of the gliders. We perform after-sale warranty servicing, maintain factory bulletin update reporting, stock and ship original replacement parts, manuals, and accessories.

Excellent post, never knew this, I know nothing of aviation.
I see people para glide here a couple of miles from my window.
I would love to handglide, it has always been a dream of mine.
And these gliders are EXACTLY what I would like, bungee jumping and sky diving would not be my thing, but to soar through the ski like a bird makes my hairs stand on end.

So many dreams so little time.

Double win for Diana 2 in EGC 2007 Issoudun France. Janusz Centka, and Karol Staryszak flying Diana 2 took 1st and 2nd place in 15 meter class. Congratulation for both pilots. We are very proud to announce that this is 4th international title in last two years for our glider.

you can try - MDM SOLO FOX another Polish glider.

In every bigger city you can find aero club. I am sure they have one in Kraków.

I agree that gliding is amazing.

The airport in Bielsko Biala (southern Poland) is quite famous for gliding and I think they may even produce gliders in the city.

On a related topic, I was at the picnic at the aircraft musuem in Krakow a few weeks ago. There was some guys there from a website called extremespotting.com. They take these incredible photos of planes flying over Poland at altitude (8km up!).
