Has anyone noticed the growing number of cars in Poland with an outline of a fish stuck on (usually on the back)? Any comments?
FISH SYMBOL ON POLISH CARS?
It's a universal symbol for Christianity. It has no specific denominational association.
It is a symbol of Christianity. Haven`t you read Quo Vadis? That`s how Christians in Nero`s Rome recognised their brethren in faith.
And it is not growing, it has always been here.
And it is not growing, it has always been here.
An ichthys? It is an ancient Greek word for fish, and was adopted as Christian symbol. What about it? Many Poles are Christians...

A fish symbol with legs is an atheist symbol.
Sometimes it says "Darwin" in it. People who think he was an atheist or advocated atheism didn't read Darwin very well.

It was born out of america, where a moronic 50% of the population dont believe in evalution. You can see where the darwin atheist link come from.
I am personally an atheist, But I agree that evalution does not disprove god and has never attempted to.
I am pretty sure there is an idiot creationist kicking about these forums but I can remember his name.

I do believe in God and his wonderful creation as well. Am I an idiot or a Catholic?
But was it around before the collapse of communism? Of course, there weren't that many cars on the road back then.

Do you believe in creationism, do you believe that man ran around with dinosaurs playing fetch and tickling them. Do you believe that the earth is 6000 years old.
I know catholics accept evalution as scientific fact and how god created so no I am not talking about you. Unless of course you are a catholic who believes in creationism.

You sincerely think that 50% of Americans believe this?

Roughly 50%, these figures were quoted on their national census. I will look for a link for you.

That is a good question. C9ommunism collapsed 19 years ago. It is too long to remember, besides I wasn`t interested in such things then.
But yes, I remember seeing such a sign as a student. My friends explained it to me. It was in 1980s.
But probably it wasn`t so widespread as today. So we can say it is growing after all. :):):)

Yeah okay, look you and I both know that it thrills Limey to no end believing how dumb the Yankee is. I grew up in the Midwest and 1 out of every 2 people doesnt believe the earth is 6000 years old. Lol.
If it makes you happy to think that (and I think it does) - Go ahead.
What is your basic language, noimmigration?
Or any of the other billions of people on the planet, from the very most educated to the least, from among the wealthiest to the poorest, from the most passionately faithful to the most learned scientists, and from a host of religions, Christian and otherwise, who do sincerely believe that man is a creation of God?

A mark of sheer brilliance... and you're worried about whether a bunch of rural Americans think people and dinosaurs shared supper at some point in the distant past? You actually think whether someone believes that or not is important or relevant to anything they do in their day to day existence or how they interact with other people? "Hey boss, I know I should have called to let you know I wasn't going to show for work today, but I was just so worried about whether a distant ancestor of mine ever saw a living, breathing dinosaur, I neglected that responsibility." Try calling someone in your place of employ what you called him above and see what happens.
