i have found a place in poland to do driving lessons in english and the theory test in english BUT does any one no where i can find the reading material in english....
Hi Hu_man, i don't think there is any reading material translated, i am also looking to do my licence here in Poland, and my wife has been unable to find anything.
I have all of the materials in English both in paper and CD format. The translated theory exam is also available on CD. You can buy them on-line or alternatively go to one of the larger driving schools and ask for a copy.
I 'm afraid I don't remember the link. You can get the materials from Robert Kosmala at Imola driving school. Go to imola.com.pl. Select English, then contact. His number is at the bottom of the page.

Hi there,,,,I've been living here quite sometimes...nearly 5 years though,,and been driving with my non-eu international driving license ....as I have to renew every year coz it valid 1 year only....and have never been stopped by the police...so never know whether I've been driving here illegally or not!!!
And this year is turn to me as a stała resident.... So I really do feel a kick before I will be stop and get my self in a real trouble.... My Polish isn't perfect...
I have already checked with the office,,,I don't need a driving test,,just translate my original driving license from my country to Polish and What I need to do is just to do the theory test...I'm sure could bring along a Eng.Translator with me...that's an option...
Or Does anyone has done the test in English.???...if yes...where??? I will check with the office though...and will let you know...in case I'll be the first one to do it so....if not...I really need to learn polish seriously.....This could be a good information to those interested to have one.... :P
Yep, the theoretical exam is offered in English. But, and there's always a but - it's only being offered in some areas. Big cities should be fine, but elsewhere might be a bit hit or miss. If it's not offered in English where you are, then you can use a sworn translator instead.
Two problems, however...
1) You may need to do the 30 hours of theory training first. 2) Materials - these aren't easy to find. I haven't found anywhere selling them in English.
The office in Bydgoszcz (a rather big city) doesn't offer an English version. :(
I do have a study book in English entitled "Driving manual for category 'B' license" by Witold Kedziora. Published by SPH Credo, Pila (tel 067-2142288).
