i have lost touch with a Polish friend of mine-i know he uses a chatroom in Poland(i know this is a real longshot)which has an orange background and seemed a little simulator to myspace as it had loads of pictures of his friends on it so he could click on them if he wanted to chat or whatever.I saw him chatting on it once so i think this could possibly a good way to hunt him down!he is 20 so do you know of any possible chatroom it could be???i know there is probably thousands ..he was using mozilla firefox as well...any ideas???????????????

My Grandfather parents were from Poland. His Bbrother and Sister were blonde headed and blue eyed. But he was very dark with black hair. Why are their Polish people that are white and brown?

Interesting point Myatska.

I'm often asked the same question since I'm Polish on both sides yet am dark haired and dark eyed, looking more like an Italian than what is generally understood to be a typical blonde Pole.

I guess it has to do with the genealogical and ethnographic roots of the Polanie, or early Poles, whose ancestors would have come from further south/east, hence bringing darker complexions and features, but then they would have mixed with the fairer skinned peoples from the north/west. Hence two seemingly opposite genetic strains in the modern Pole. You can get more info if you're interested by studying the early migration of peoples across Europe from India and the Middle East (originating of course initially in Africa).
