Arriving Gniew - Few Questions

I have been assigned to be in Gniew for about 6 months; I have read Gniew is too small a town/village; Am not sure living there is a good option as it may not have enough restaurants, supermarkets etc (I will have to eat outside all the times); How are the medical facilities? Is there any town that is close to Gniew that has more amenities? Hopefully some town closeby from where I can drive down to Gniew would be a nice idea, I guess.

Please help me sweeten my stay. Thanks in advance.

Gniew is a small town. The history of it you can find on Wikipedia.
The website for Gniew is:
gniew.pl
I did check it out and unfortunately its in Polish only. There is 15 restaurants, so you should have plenty of opportunities to eat out. I am sure that there are supermarkets and medical facilities as well.

There is a number of bigger cities around Gniew, like Pelplin, Starogard Gdanski, Tczew and (approx. 1-1.5 hour by train) TriCity (Gdansk, Sopot, Gdynia)

Gniew is a town with population of 6 thousand people

That's the size of an average houselhold in some countries.

A very pretty place! I spent a week there on business a few years ago, and must say that of the 15 restaurants only a couple are worth visiting, and you'll be glad of a trip to GdaƄsk.

It does look nice, the people, as I remember them, were OK, but by the end of the week I was going a bit stir crazy with 'gniew' (look the word up in a dictionary!!!!
