Trying to do business with Polish businessmen... but it's not easy.

it's a bizzare situation for sure - I work in business to business sales and the amount of fall outs is incredible - one minute it's a yes go ahead - the next minute "we have sent the contract back" and then nothing - it's so frustrating and unprofessional - if it was the other way around my clients would be screaming at me.

Even general managers and chief execs are guilty though - maybe it's a fear of saying no in a face to face situation
I was always brought up that your word is your bond - it doesn't seem so here. Last month we "lost" 7 projects that we were given verbal go ahead to start only to find that the contracts weren't signed. Lesson learned - don't begin any work or co-operation until you have back signed contract....

having said all of that - Poland is still a great place to do business - you just need to choose your partners wisely....

How true, you can buy anything in Poland! If you do business in Poland make sure you have a good lawyer and everything you agree to is in writing and legally binding, (poles change there mind)

There will always be questions of sincerity, wherever you go. There are plenty businessmen in Education now, syphoning off the profits.
