Setting up a Chinese Language School in Poland - good business idea?

what would be the best marketing strategy to attract more polish to learn Chinese?

Very tough question.

I would target businesses who will deal with China first of all - maybe offering them a couple of weeks trial before they have to commit. They may very well sign up if the quality of the lessons are high enough - but you very well need to provide a Polish speaker on top of the Chinese/English speakers.

It's a tough question, because Wrocław is similar to Poznań - yet there's nothing similar here to the best of my knowledge.

As I know, there are at least 3 chinese language schools in Warsaw, the market is not as big as english language school, but it is not so small as many people think, there are group of poles speak Chinese, even quite well, from my experience, within 2 months, I met 5 poles who speak chinese very well, and ofcouse, all of them speak english too.

Many poles I know would like to learn chinese, but the fee of learning chinese is much expensive than fee of learning english, for example, in Warsaw, 60 hours of engish course cost around 600 zloty, while 60 hours of chinese course cost around 1600 zloty.

By the way, I am a chinese who living in Warsaw.

First of all, I have to correct one thing in the short clip - Taipei IS NOT a city of China (Republic of People China). I know China always declare Taiwan as a part of it, but the fact is that TAIWAN IS AN IDEPENDET COUNTRY. You can't say most of countries in the world agree with China, so Taiwan belongs to China. This is absolutely wrong. Taipei is the capital of Taiwan, whose official name is Republic of China. What supprises me more is that many Poles see Hing Kong as a country. HK is not and has never been a country, while Taiwan was one of the original founder of the UN.

Backing to the topic I think I can be the teacher since I'm a native Chinese speaker and I do speak Polish. I've been in Poland 3 years. I know for most people this is quite a short time, but at least all the Poles I met are impressed by my Polish. I finished my MB courses in Polish and wrote my thesis in Polish. In a word, I have no problem communicating with Poles. So if you need me, please send me a mail at slacknewbie@op.pl

Isn't it strange that a Polish forum should see every other language other than Polish? Chinese is a major language of the future. There's no way in God's earth that I could pronounce it tho.

My Taiwanese-American friend speaks it. I thought she was ill or in pain when I first heard it ;)
