Wroclaw - I did not make myself clear there, I was not referring to polish business being sloe more the system, i.e. government structure - bureaucracy, accountancy e.t.c.

its just not logical - 'doing business in the us is so much easier than in Poland' not logical i am afraid and why the hell are you on a Polish forum making such a statement, that baffles me even more.

misskend, firstly if would be nice if you would show your hand and advise us to what type of business you are involved in, than hiding behind a mask.

I accept what you are saying and basically what you are saying makes sense to a lot of people but by no means all.

If you asked 10 people who have started a business, you would get 10 different perceptions,. Its a bit like asking 10 people who purchased real estate in the last couple of years what they thought on the matter, undoubtedly some have made money and some have lost.

Doing business in Poland is a tricky business, a lot of unknowns a lot of wild cards etc,
Polish people have funny business perceptions and practices which is different to that in the US.

If you can tell me being a non Pole that you have done well in your business venture in Poland, I can only say congratulations and I take my hat off to you..

P.S cheer up/.

My point exactly -

I am new to this site - and the main reason I would have no interest in actually contributing to it is that its like an 'in' community - in this mail you elaborate somewhat and show me that you are something more than a bitter 'Polish failed business starter' but think of it from the perspective of an outsider - I come on this site I go to check out 'business in Poland' i see a post from someone who asks a few questions re how to get going in Poland and I come across your message, - you tell me to cheer up - thats hilarious your initial message to Jaani was exceptionally negative, you didn't elaborate very much but the general vibe was ' its really hard to set up in business in poland, lots of people fail and lose everything so don't bother and if you disagree with me then you have rose tinted glasses'. It surprised me to be honest.

As to coming clean re what my business is - why would I - To be slated by negatives. This site would have to earn my trust and have some very valid well written contributions before I would actually put my head and identity on the line.

Right now it appears to be a ******** shop for bitter failures.

Which in my opinion is a shame - part of joining the E.U means that Poland is an open market and like it or not the same way the other nations have to put up with thousands of Poles coming to their countries to work the Poles have to put up with foreigners setting up businesses in their country - this forum could be a very useful tool for anyone who wants to connect with other people doing the samething.

if its pages are dominated by poorly structured 'what the point trying' posts why would anyone serious even bother stopping by here, to be ******* at - no thanks.

Business is difficult, its risky and its time consuming where ever the hell you are.

I think that any country with 38 million people, an educated workforce and one of the lowest minimum wages in europe has to have potential - but like any country in the world you got to do your homework and its not an easy ride - but then again I believe to really run and manage a good longterm business it is always difficult, but thats the challange.

less of the ***** fest and more constructive well structured argument and this site might actually be a useful resource for people who would like to connect with other business people in poland.

Its seems to me misskend that your are involved in the IT or ESL education type work, by your own use of words it seems you are a angry and aggressive type of person.

It would not surprise me if you were a educated Indian starting out in a small business.

It would be a boring forum if every person were to agree with each other and a critical approached was seen as a negative.

Please learn to relax and learn by other peoples experiences.
