Aha... :). How was the day Shelleys? Hope you are fine :D...well it seems so!
Im very well thank you, and your good self?
This cant be the work of a 6 yrs old boy.
Unfortunately this happens on a regular basis, not all children have the option of a childhood or eduction :(
And then, if they boy is 12 or 14... and this is his work. I would say 'good job'. Maybe this job gave him hope, food and medicine for his family. Those are countries which survive harsh realities. They need our love and honor.
Of course I understand this, but things need to change in their governments to enable children to be educated and to stop this perpetual poverty.
It is better for a boy to work and earn a living in a harsh world... then to be sexually exploited or die hungry.
They are exploited and abused in other ways, again this is an issue for their country to resolve - foreign aid doesn't seem to have helped.
For their betterment, its not only the responsibility for their own country people...Nay....its the responsibility of the whole human kind. He is one of us. The same kind...the same race...the Human Race.
This is why I buy purchase as many "fair trade" products as I can - I would rather enjoy something that was produced in a good working evironment by people who were paid a fair wage for a fair days work, where the parents can ensure that their children can be educated and enjoy a childhood.
Did you know that most people don't pay tax in these kinds of countries, there is no proper infrastructure or taxation system - people live "hand to mouth" with no real future - for countries like Bangladesh to move forward and to help the children of tomorrow, governments have to take responsibility and the west has to be prepared to pay a higher price for consumables, they are after all cheap for a reason!
