Bars in Krakow - opportunity to start up a business?

Hi,

Following countless visits to Krakow over recent years I am exploring the possibilities of starting up a business and am very interested in buying or renting a bar/restaurant within the city centre. What is the best way of seeking such opportunities as I can only find sites that sell/rent residential or retail shop units.

Thanks for any help or advice given.

Just as it is in any other country. If you see a spot you like, ask for the owner and throw him a bone. He may come back with a counter offer or tell you to get lost.

I haven't been to Krakow in about 8 years, but I grew up there (long ago) and even under the former regime, Krakow NEVER had vacant spots within the main square. I highly doubt that there is just a spot for sale. If it is, it will be gone in a day.

Killerkat, that's not true anymore. The city centre is much more than the Main Square. Peope constantly open and close their businesses, so you may find something for you. However, I'm afraid that it'll take time.

Thanks for the above advice.
I am back in Krakow in Sept, so I will have a good look round and ask a few questions.
