Merged: On Line Translation, Dictionary

When I was learning Russian I would use Alta Vista Babelfish to translate online between English and Russian, Russian and English. Babelfish has a number of languages but not Polish. Does anyone know of as good and simple free on line translation site as Babelfish which translates English and Polish, Polish to English?

Also for a good buy for a Polish English - English Polish DIctionary, pocket size, take a look at the link below. This is where I bought mine.

I'm really not a great believer of online translation - there are a lot of nuances and anolmalies that they can't pick up. Seeing how they cope English to German makes me laugh.... the word order is all over the place and they can't cope with words that have several meanings.

A rather simple thing, but you wanted simple poltran.com
It's an enlish version of the polish translate site.

But remember, always check in both ways. Cause even if you get a word translated, it doesn't mean it is translated right...

Yes, I use this one. Some slang/sayings on there too. Not bad, apart from the gay dating ads!

I think the best bilingual dictionary on the market is The Great English - Polish / Polish English Dictionary by Oxford UP and PWN. Unfortunately it is very expensive and it has no Polish pronunciation. For a serious learner or a translator it is the best one so far. I base on this dictionary even in literary translations.
