What does it mean when it doesn't mean yes? Is it anythnig to do with taki. What does taki mean? I believe that once I have found the answers to these questions and learnt them, I will pretty much have the Polish language in a bag.

tak means yes but also like this/that

Some examples

Tak:
- Yes
- You can do it this way, or like this
- This way or another.
- It's so cold.
- Are you that stupid?
-Any way you like it.

Taki:
- So big and yet so weak.
- This kind of a wedding is too expensive.
- That wasn't that easy.
- Somewhat/somehow silly. (taki jakis glupi)

What about taki and so on?

a few more meanings...
tak Adam, jak i Robert - both Adam and Robert
jako taki - as such
to był taki żart - it was only a joke
taki a taki - such and such / so and so
