Does "Bo" mean "because" in Polish as well as Ponieważ. I ask this because I am reading a polish short story from the internet. Whilst looking at the English translated version. I noticed it said bo wcześniej means because before..

I thought "because" was Ponieważ in polish..I hope someone can clear this up. I understand sometimes translations aren't exact but i Just wondered.

ponieważ = bo = dlatego, że = bowiem = albowiem = gdyż

dlatego

Does this actually work the because way around, because I thought I'd seen it somewhere as more of a therefore, ie. A is because B, therefore C?

I am asking for I wish to know.

i dlatego, że is therefore. Good question, Osioł. This one confuses me too.

I thought że was that (which can be the same as therefore, but usually isn't).
Wherefore all this confusion?

Więc is also therefore. Że does mean that but one word can have many meanings as you know. Zrób, że to can mean 'do it'. No reference to that.

Zrób, że to can mean 'do it'

It's actually "zróbże". You cannot split that.

Oops, common mistake. Thanks for the correction, zróbże indeed.

common mistake

It is, even with native Polish speakers.
I think the only one more popular would be "także" (=also) written as "tak, że".

The habit extends to English. I was told never to follow a comma with but or because but I do it because of how I write in Polish. Many Polish students write, 'I think, that... or 'I know, that...' because of myśle, że or wiem, że.
