Polish language
Equals 'Język polski', and sounds like a good name of a section of a forum.
"Polish language section"
would be
"Sekcja języka polskiego"
would be
"Sekcja języka polskiego"

"Sekcja języka polskiego"
But in most forums they don't include the word section. They just give the plain name of its content.

Yeah, probably. But he asked for section and including "Polskiego" made me think that maybe he intends to use it in this manner.

True.
So can you use Polskiego on it's own to mean Polish(as Polish spoken or written here) or this section of the forum is in the Polish Language,i mean is it grammatically correct to use "Polskiego" as a stand alone word,to mean Polish?
you can't just use it on it's own it depends on the whole structure - cases:
sekcja języka polskiego ( genetive case ) - polish language section
język polski (nominative case) - polish language
This section of the forum is in the Polish Language. - This word would be in a different case too.
Ta sekcja forum jest w języku polskim. (instrumental case)
sekcja języka polskiego ( genetive case ) - polish language section
język polski (nominative case) - polish language
This section of the forum is in the Polish Language. - This word would be in a different case too.
Ta sekcja forum jest w języku polskim. (instrumental case)
I see, thank you,so which would correct Polski forum or Polskiego forum?
Polskie forum for that matter, but it would sound as concerning all Polish matters, so I would advise "Forum języka polskiego" or "Sekcja języka polskiego" instead.
it depends in what context...
Polski forum.. don't wanna disencourage you but if we're talking about "polski forum" you need to add gender declension, so in the stand alone way:
forum - neuter gender polskie forum
język - male gender polski język
You'll see "polskiego" only in more complicated sentences with case declension, like the mentioned:
"Sekcja języka polskiego". -
Polish language section.

Thank you very much to all who have helped i think that i got it,i did not realise how bad my Polish was,i still cannot get out of the habit of saying wus when talking about a car, anyway thankyou all.
Ta sekcja forum jest w języku polskim. (instrumental case)
uh, that's locative - miejscownik (instrumental - narzędnik would be językiem polskim).
Yep that's true my bad : o
So which one sirs?
It doesn't change anything, I've just made the mistake calling it a different case's name.
"Forum/sekcja języka polskiego"
Polish language forum/section"
sounds more formal.. and I think proper
"Polskie forum/ forum polskie" - sounds a little bit too informal for me..

Thank you sir.
I would go for 'forum po polsku'
:-)
and i would say:
Sekcja polska/polish section
Forum polskie/polish forum
dział polski/polish section
dział j. polskiego/polish language section
j. polski/polish language
j. is shortcut from język
and i would say:
Sekcja polska/polish section
Forum polskie/polish forum
dział polski/polish section
dział j. polskiego/polish language section
